“This is our 4th show, and it is by far the best line-up of celebrities that we have had yet”, says Ryan Scott Weber, a New Jersey-based film producer and director who has shifted his talents to producing the New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival. “For us, it’s all about the horror fan’s experience at our show and the film festival being the heart of it. This time around, we have re-created Elvira’s television hosting set so fans can have a photo op with Cassandra Peterson as if they were appearing on her television show. We will also have a screen used K.I.T.T. car from Knight Rider for photo ops with William Daniels, who was the voice of the car on the TV series.”
In addition to established talent, NJ Horror Con and Film Festival is the only con that offers up and coming filmmakers a showcase for their work. “We support regional and national filmmakers with the opportunity to have their film selected for screening at the show. Once submitted, all submissions are carefully reviewed by our panel for screening at the Con. There are exceptional films being made out there and our festival offers these writers, directors, actors and special effects people exposure and the opportunity to win awards,” continues Ryan. Films will be screened continuously during all three days of the con in a special screening area on the show floor with no additional cost to the guest. In addition to the aspiring filmmakers, established production houses like Troma Entertainment and Wild Eye Productions will have booths on the show floor providing a great networking opportunity for those looking to break into the industry.
The fourth New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival will be featured at The Showboat on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City from Friday September 21st to Sunday September 23rd. For more information, advance tickets and vendor booths go to www.newjerseyhorrorcon.com.
