Khyber Pass Pub reemerging as a music hot spot

Music has returned to the Khyber Pass Pub, 56 S. 2nd St, another Philadelphia venue with a rich history. The tradition of bringing together talent from all over the city’s vast and eclectic music community now continues with John Faye hosting Open Mic Tuesdays, Upstairs at The Khyber Pass Pub, presented by DVT Entertainment and sponsored by Workhorse Brewing Company.

Host: John Faye
Putting aside his over three decades in the music business as the voice of the Caulfields, IKE, John & Brittany, and John Faye & Those Meddling Kids, (as well as his work as a producer, rock school band instructor, songwriting professor at Drexel University, and soon-to-be author), many Philadelphia-area musicians got to know John Faye during his tenure as the open mic host at The Legendary Dobbs on South Street from 2011-2015.

Now in late 2019, John has once again teamed up with DVT Entertainment, the booking agents who originally brought him on to host at Dobbs and later at the Grape Room for the songwriter series “Got Songs.”
